When I was little there were moments when I felt kinda dizzy
It was when I was 6 or 7. The first time it happened was when I was playing a video game, I felt really dizzy(at least that's how I described it at the time) and I started panicking, I guess it was kinda like a panic attack. I've had these a couple of more times especially in the dark before going to sleep.
On top of that there were times(this happened more frequently) when I didn't have the panic attack but still felt really dizzy, like I was completely out of it, it happened at the most random times. I was unable to explain this feeling for a while until I started drinking alcohol I then realized that this feeling I had was exactly the same as being drunk.
The panic attacks subsided when I got into my teens but this dizzy feeling I had continued into my late teens, these days I don't experience it anymore. I've been to doctors and stuff but nobody could tell me what the problem was. Now that I know that I have aspergers I'm certain it's linked, I only recently thought about these experiences again.
Can anybody here figure out what the problem is? I've read a lot of stuff on the forum but never have I seen people describe a dizzy feeling as if they were drunk.

Is it the same as getting up out of bed to quickly, causing you to be wobbly?
If so, it might have to do with (temporary) circulatory issues.

This doesn't really sound similar, but it's worth mentioning:
When I was a child - about the same ages you mention - about 6 through early twenties - I would have these very brief episodes of two different types. In one, I would feel as if I was on a very rough surface. In the other, it was a sensation of sliding down some slick surface. Both would last only a few seconds and I was essentially conscious throughout.
In college I mentioned it to a neuro-psychology professor who couldn't place it as anything obvious, but she said it sounded like a mild form of epilepsy that is not uncommon in children and most people grow out of.
Here is a link I found: Epilepsy Symptoms
It does mention dizziness as a symptom. It might be worth checking out.

And yeah circulation issues. I used to call that 'head spin' or 'head rush'.

I had similiar issues when I was young. I got dizzy at times and saw stars, but it was not a limiting factor. I achieved a high level of fitness and didn't experience any dizziness until later in life after a severe period of stress. I had never experienced anything close to fainting but for a couple of months found myself dizzy getting out of bed, heart racing after eating, and eventually a wobbly half concious feeling after walking. For me it also felt like being drunk, but scary because I thought I might be having a stroke or heart attack.
It was hard for a diagnosis because I never actually fainted. Finally after about a year I got a tilt-table test and was diagnosed with vaso-vagal presyncope. It's a condition when the brain gets out of sync with the cardiovascualar system (neurocardiogenic). The end result is the blood doesn't flow to your brain like its suppose to so you get light headed dizzy and you may feel like you are going to faint but don't faint. It was so bad for awhile that I couldn't exercise, but when I built back my tolerance to exercise, the problem became almost non-existant again.
It's my understanding that it is largely a genetic condition that may express stronger in certain situations or periods during your life. It is quite common and is often a precipatating factor in panic attacks. Often people are not properly diagnosed. A tilt table test from a Cardiologist is the only way to test it. I had to do the research and find out what the condition was to present it to my primary physician, to get a referral to a cardiologist. Here is a link if you are interested in more information:

I went through a time once when I would get really bad dizzy spells where I felt like I was falling foward but I was actualy sitting perfectly still. It was horrible. I couldn't bend over without feeling like I was going to pass out my mom thought I was making it up in order to avoid doing chores. Eventualy they got so bad I couldn't even walk or stand up without vomiting. I couldn't open my eyes. I felt like I was going to throw up constantally. My parents used to think I was forcing myself to vomit. The doctors couldn't figure out what it is and I evne had an EEG but it was one where I wasn't supposed to move. I only expirenced the dizzy spells when I was in motion. I got super sick and DIZZY after the EEG. I always did when exposed to strobe lights but like an hour or so after wards. I had my ears cleaned and that seemed to help with the dizzy spells but I think if I were allowed to move during the EEG and if it was for more than an hour, they would have found something. I wish they would have had an MRI because when I bend over, I felt like I was going to pass out and I wonder if there was a blood clot or something in my brain. The dizzy spells themselves were so bad, I couldn't move sometimes and I sometimes compliated commiting sucide to make them stop.

I'm not weird, you're just too normal.
I experience this all the time due to severe Food and Environmental Allergies. For me they cause one of two reactions:
1) Food Allergies - drop in blood pressure causes me to become extremely dizzy
2) Environmental Allergies - causes fluid to build in my inner ear, creating severe vertigo

Yeah i felt that as a kid too. It would happen randomly and usually around a lot of people, bright lights, or loud noises. But not very often, im guessing about once or twice a year. A few times i can remember just doing every day routines and getting the feeling. I never noticed it wear off, but i suppose it did each time.
I never thought about the feeling until it happened, and each time it did i could remember it from past episodes.
Im only 17, but in the last year i drank a lot of alcohol and the "dizzy" feeling does come close to being drunk. However, when i had these episodes as a child, it was a more unpleasant experience than getting waisted.

Hmm that's weird I had a few times I got dizzy, and it was concerning enough for me to bring it up to my mom and I might have mentioned it to my teacher as well, that was when I was like 7. Then my mom took me to the doctor and I ended up having a bunch of blood tests done and a bunch of other stuff. Last time was when I was 18 and they did a minor surgery to take a small peice of my muscle tissue.
And yeah they never really figured anything out, but that's still wierd I guess....and I have not really had the dizzyness issue
