My family is always having to finish my sentences because I will totally blank on the names of objects, things that I use everyday. I'll be telling my kids, for example, to get a cup out of the dishwasher, but I will forget the word for dishwasher, so I sit there and struggle until they say it. This happens many times throughout the day, with many items. I can usually find it, if I sit there and think about it long enough, but someone usually steps in once they realize that I can't find the word.

Eeyup. This happens to me all the time.

"Get me the thingy, the thingy that looks like... and is used to.... yes! That's the word!"

Yes. Strangely, sometimes I have the first letter of the object in question...'could you please pass the....um...starts with a B?'

I lose words all the time. "Presque vu" is the term for words that are on the tip of your tongue.

Quite often. The worst part: I am a polyglot, fluent in three languages, and still sometimes I will forget the word for a specific item in all three languages! What's the point of speaking so many languages if I cannot remember the words I need in any of them?!

It does make me feel stupid. It seems to be happening more and more the older I get.

It has nothing to do with intelligence. Our brains are a mix of assets and deficits, and a lot of functions have little to do with how smart we are, but still impact how we function in the moment or in particular contexts. Nothing to beat yourself up over.

I am absolutely terrible with forgetting what things are called and I'm even worse with peoples names!

I tend to go through a list of names of things until I get the word I want. I'd say "pass me a table no chair no fork no a spoon" or with peoples names I'll rhyme off a big long list of names until I get to the right one lol

I can't think of the last day that this didn't occur multiple times for me (if there are any).
