I wonder if there is some sort of correlation beyond lack of fine motor skills, clumsiness, etc as to 'why' it appears that many people on the spectrum have difficulties tying their shoes and continue to ?

I don't know if I have Synesthesia, but I do know that I've never been able to tie shoes, every time I try to do any knot, it is either really simple or falls apart.
