What is there to do?

I thought it would be great to get a big list.

I'll name a few.

Go to the gym.
Read.
Watch tv.

Listen to music
Watch movies
Distract myself with the internet
Mind altering things
Read
Go for walks
Clean, while listening to energy stimulating music
and yeah that about covers it.

Going to the gym is a good one.
But I have found reading about something really complex like Quantum Physics is a good one too.

Watching TV makes me depressed.
Watching a DVD only relieves it for the duration of the film.

I think it's a gread idea but my list is completely empty. Watching stuff just adds to it, and reading requires some motivation and thinking and it's not something a messed up person can easily do, imho. I would second gym or jogging, going for a long walk usually clears me up and is something just to do with usually a positive outcome.

Having a nice bath? But it's cold when that ends.
Volunteering? But it's way too complicated than it needs to be.
I would add taking up some new hobby which is relatively simple with only a small chance of failure and is not competitive. It might encourage to take some different angles on life as well as feeling positive that you have accomplished something. But you have to do that very reasonably and be careful not to bring yourself down. For instance cooking something, maybe design your clothes, loads of physical activities - skating, climbing, yoga.. Tourism if you've got time and some money......
To pull yourself out somethimes studying stuff helps. Read something about social constructions, critical thinking, try to understand religions, monetary system..
Joining a fan club.
Starving for a day to a week.

Seriously, how do you care enough to do anything? Isn't that the point of depression? If I could do stuff, I wouldn't be depressed.

Meditate
Make lists (could be practical, like list of things needed at the grocery store, or just for fun like list of top 25 favorite albums - I find making lists really calming/mentally stimulating at the same time)
