I often have trouble explaining things or situations to most people and sometimes they misunderstand what I say, or they take it the wrong way. Do you have to trouble explaining things to people and getting your point across?

Sometimes. I also talk too fast for others to understand me.

Yes people are generally having a hard time understanding me.
I fail to stress the most important points because to me every detail counts and could change the picture.
I also talk too fast and sometimes it's not very clear what I'm saying.

Yes. It's almost impossible for me to explain things.

Yes, I tend to mumble, especially when I'm feeling shy or hesistant of what I'm saying. And I find things hard to explain too. When I went to the doctors about my sinuses, I said something like this: ''I've had a blocked nose for about 4 weeks now, and it's not like a cold, it's to do with me having small....sinus things....'' (I was meant to say ''tubes''). But luckily for me I use hand and face expressions when I speak so people can pick up with what I'm trying to explain by the non-verbal clues.

Sometimes I'll think faster than I can get the words out of my mouth and they'll come out as a jumble that doesn't sound English anymore :?

Definately. A lot of things I know or observe, I can't put into words specific enough, and it comes out as simple or the main point I'm trying to give just doesn't come out. It's frustrating. I always assumed it was part of SPD. And it makes me terrible at joking, though I still understand others' jokes.

I've always wondered is it me or our language is just too slow.
I'm too lame to say more in less.

Yes, sort of. I can be very articulate at times. But I tend to lose my words or just loose my train of thought entirely, especially if I am interrupted. If I don't get to say something the minute I think of it the words get backed up like water behind a dam, so by the time I get a chance to talk they come tumbling out in the wrong order.

This is often my problem. I just can't talk as fast as I think and it really messes up what I say until it's completely unintelligible.

Yes. Sometimes the words just seem to get "stuck" somewhere between my brain and my mouth.

I am articulate if I know what to say and when to say it. I am articulate if I am familiar with the topic. In most other cases, I have troubles being articulate. Writing is exception.

Yes. Mostly it's because I become distracted and then lose track of what I was going to say or what I was thinking about.
