Hi everyone,

I was wondering if your the same? or not?

I wear the same clothes - I have almost always wore jeans on casual days for over 10 years.

I eat the same food - I have a small 'list' of food which I eat.

I drink the same drink.

I don't always intend to create routines, but I find it difficult to break out of a 'routine' that I've fallen into.

I discuss the same subjects - which can change through time - again and again...

Are you the same? any other examples?

I tend to buy multiples of things because I prefer the same over and over. If I like a t-shirt I buy 7 of the same shirt. I am an extraordinarily picky eater so there are only a limited number of foods I will buy, but I get multiples and stock up. I will eat the same foods over and over until I get tired of them, then I switch to something else.

I have eaten the same meal at restaurants so often, after awhile they will start recognizing me and remembering my order, which I find really embarrassing and annoying. I don't like it when people assume any kind of familiarity with me. So when that happens I stop eating there.

Yes, I suppose I am. Sometimes I like to try new things to drink, but I find myself choosing basically the same things over and over again. I just don't want to waste money on something I may not like.

I used to be like this, but over the past 7 years or so have slowly branched out, and now I try to get different food each time I go to a place, etc. Took work, though, and time.

Definitely. Not so much with food, except like jamieevren, that tall peppermint mocha frappuccino with skim milk and no whipped cream - I need to get one of their reusable cups where you can mark your preferences on it so I don't have to say all that stuff every time! I do like to buy multiple copies of clothes that I like, especially shirts and jeans. It's hard for me to find clothes that feel "just right", so when I do I don't want to pass up the opportunity!

When you put it that way, yes.

I eat the same foods, my wardrobe consists of jeans, polo shirts, suits and dress shirts (with a few old t-shirts I do not use anymore), I sleep and wake up at around the same time every day and I do not like deviations (for example, today I woke up late and I am regreting it, even though it is Saturday). Hell, I even follow a pattern when I pace around the house (from my computer to the door of my room and back).

At first after I read this I thought that I may have posted it and just forgotten.

I do all of those things.

That's the same drink that one of my brothers always gets when we go to Starbucks. He likes his drink vente-sized. Personally, I always get a tall skinny vanilla latte.

More like Mr. Monk

I have 7 pairs of blue jeans and 7 navy blue t-shirts, I usually eat the same thing for breakfast, I do pretty much the same thing every day, when I got to a fast food place I always order the same thing. So yes.

I like sameness, although I'm not completely rigid about it.

I've eaten the same breakfast almost every day for around 25 years.

I'm open to eating a variety of food for other meals, but I like eating certain kinds of food often and I tend to eat my favorite foods for many consequtive days or every week if I can. If I discover a new food that I really like I want to eat it every day for a few weeks.

I can drink somewhat of a variety of drinks, but 90% of the time I just drink two kinds.

I wear similar clothes most of the time. I like wearing a casual t-shirt and soft, sporty pants. I've worn the same brand of socks for 17 years, they're the only ones I can stand. When I find a piece of clothing that I like, I like to buy many of the same kind (sometimes with color variations though). I'm very picky on clothes and shoes and I hate looking for them, so I like to stock up on them once I find good ones.

I like to do things in the same order most of the time and follow routines and I automatically create new routines or schedules if the old one had to be changed for some reason. I find that I function best that way. If I don't follow routines I tend to either forget to do things or I lose my sense of time or feel stressed. I can be flexible, but I like to follow a schedule and keep things organized.

I wear the same thing, eat the same thing, order the same thing at restaurants (the few times I've tried to change my order I have been unhappy with the results) and even go about some conversations with the same script. The script is mostly with people I don't know or don't know very well. I can have spontaneous conversations but that is usually dependent on how much stimulation is around at the time.

Some people might think that's boring, but to me it's comforting.

No, I love variation. I want to try everything.
