Functioning in environments you dont like
Haaaa. Organization is definitely not one of my strong points. However in my old house I had lots of colors and things that I had arranged in such a meticulous order that made me feel energized and allowed me to think and actually keep my room organized. Others called its look chaos, I called it what made me feel right.
Well seven months ago I moved in with my grandparents. My room here is all brown and grey and beige with Floridian decor. It defiantly wasnt my favorite when I first moved in but it didn't get to me too much. I would do my work outside the room if I could help it. But as time went on I started to dread the room even more. When in that room I cant breath, I cant think, I cant work, I feel isolated, and it depresses me.
Thankfully im moving back to my old house with my old room in a few weeks. I try to explain to my grandparents how the room makes me feel and they get it enough to understand why I have a problem but at the same time they dont get it. I just get angry trying to explain things over and over again.
Im just curious. Is this some kind of stimulus thing? Why dose this room drain me so much?

Think it may be because we take in so much of the environment around us that it can get really bad. So if my room is a colour I don't like or other things then I will always take it in, even when focusing on something other then the room.
Then theres the change, usually if I move rooms I won't really be able to focus or anything in it and it will keep progressively getting worse until I change it. (My last room had purple floors that I had to put sheets on because it drove me insane, one wall also clashed with the other so I moved my bookshelf there and always sat at that end, looking the other way.)
Do you think it may be the change that's bugging you, that you take in the environment or something entirely different? (Sorry if I didn't even get close to the answer, I'm a fairly unique person it seems...)
