Are any of you also great at accidently injuring yourself?

Currently one of my toes is all bruised up because I knocked it against the wheel on my boyfriends desk chair. But like I was just walking normal and idk how I possibly smashed my toe against it so hard...on accident. Other than that though seems like I am really good at accidently hitting my elbow on corners of walls so I have a hurting elbow for a few days. And you know stuff like that...so idk if anyone else runs into this sort of issue.

Yup. My legs especially are always covered in bruises, most of which I can't even remember the cause of. I bump into things a lot

Sometimes I'll injure myself, and my partner will ask me how it happened, and when I try to recreate it I can't figure out what the heck I was doing. I just fling my limbs in weird ways sometimes without realizing

Yes.

I broke my left foot twice in two months - once falling down the stairs in my own house and then dropping something heavy on it when I first got the walking cast removed.

I drop my laptop on my face all the time when I'm laying on my back. The corner has bruised my face or given me black eyes.

I stub my toes, catch my clothes on door knobs, walk straight into walls, or cut short on turns such that I smash into doorways.

I'm always bruised too. I'm a very slow healer. Sometimes it can take a year for little cuts to go away.

I’m always running into walls and doorframes, which is odd because I have good spacial awareness generally. My cuts and bruises take a long time to heal, but that’s because I have type 2 diabetes. I do have a reputation for being clumsy though.

I'm pretty much always covered in bumps and bruises. I look like a freakin leopard with all the bruise spots. My sense of spatial awareness is seriously lacking so I frequently walk into things, smash my toes into stuff, I've even opened cupboard doors into my face. I imagine I'm like some weird physical comedy skit in live action.

I've broken my thumb while failing down stairs, accidentally stepping on my own hand while trying to get up.

Yep, and I frequently struggle to remember why it is that I'm injured.

Yes, I have a knack for injuring myself. My bones must be unbreakable though, I have never broken a single bone.

Right now I have a three inch long gash in my right shin. I debated on sowing it up, but decided that it was not deep enough to bother. It was caused by me while trying to pour out a barrel of water into a drain area. The water was from testing chemical showers in the lab. The bottom of the plastic barrel was on a metal plate with metal caster wheels. Needless to say, it flipped up and hit me directly in the leg. I walked it off, but it took a few days before the swelling subsided. Still it did not hurt as bad as the time I accidentally ripped off a big toenail (ran my foot over with an video game table).

So, the answer is a definite yes on self-injuries.

I accidentally broke my arm at work by trying to reach something by standing on a chair. The chair made an ominous creak (I'm fat so I wasn't surprised) so I hurriedly stepped backwards and fell. Right on to my arm. It was the middle of my shift and I was alone so I finished up my work (which is sanitizing offices and kids equipment) and then drove home. I had dinner with my housemate then realised I couldn't straighten my elbow at all. So we went to the ED. After an x-ray I was told I'd broken my radius near my elbow and I had to wear a sling. Booooo! It took ages for me to straighten my elbow again but six weeks later I was fine.

I have scars on both of my shins from walking into the speaker next to the tv. Once one way and once the other way. I've even seen one of the cats walk into it so it's not just me!

Not really. I don't injure myself very often.

Sometimes I hit my ankle against the pedal of my bike and recently that made it bleed a fair amount. I have bruises on my calves from carrying my bike up the steps and bumping it against my leg, but I think that's unavoidable.

Only if I am very inattentive and somewhat impulsive. Usually when I'm angry or too pressured by time.

Otherwise, no.

I am. I'm always banging into the wall, burning myself or cutting myself with a knife.

I've got a history of accidentally banging my head on things and getting minor injuries to my hands. Usually it's caused by my sudden, impulsive movements. I've learned to be a bit more careful (Pavlovian conditioning I guess), but as I write this I can see 2 small cuts on my hands. I suppose another factor is that I'm often making and repairing things, so I guess the risks are greater. But I know I'm inherently clumsy. I'm also usually in a tearing hurry. I've had very few serious accidents but a lot of trivial ones.
