I'm curious if there is a connection between eye color and autism. This would be the place to find out! Please only vote if you have autism/ asperger's syndrome or if you're voting for someone who does! Also vote for anyone you know who has autism but only if you remember correctly. Thanks! I have dark green/ hazel.

green and blue... does that count as hazel?
i think most people will have brown/black eyes because it is a more common eye color among people in general, just like there are more brunettes/black hair in the world than blonde/red heads. It does not mean brown eyes cause autism

90% of the ethnic Swedes have blue eyes. I'm one of them.

Hmm, let me see.

*Gouges out one eye*

My left eye is hazel, with some kind of red goop all over the back. There's also some kind of string attached to the back. I wonder where it leads to...

My eyes used to be blue. Then they were hazel. Now they're light green.

I have the impression that the most common eye color will be brown / dark brown, the second most common hazel, and then green / blue, since larger amounts of melanin are usually more common in any population where there's room for variation in eye color...

Mine are reddish dark brown. Like my hair.

Brown but not sure if they are light or dark so I did not vote in the poll. Since the polls
are never scientific here I often do not vote anyway.

Mine are sort of light brown with some green underneath(I thought that was Hazel?)Anyway, they turn more "green" when I cry....Maybe the contrast with the red in bloodshot eyes?

Brown, but I don't think it matters as many people have brown eyes and are NT.

Since we don't know where on the DNA the tendency towards autism is located, we don't know whether it is anywhere near the genes for eye color. If there is a connection between autism and some physical characteristic, that characteristic could give us clues as to the location of the genetic basis of autism.

Then, of course, it would promptly be used by curebies to find a way to genetically test and probably abort autistic babies before birth. Such is the way of the world.

My eyes are dark brown. But I think there's no connection. Autism is present in all human races, colors, genres, and social status.
