When sensory overload is on its way, my head beneath scalp gets itchy. This is handy, because I can then take preventative measures and recover more quickly. At first, I can scratch it and if I go and rest in the dark, then it may dissipate, but if I don't, take care of it and remain in the situation, I eventually find myself patting my head hard as the itchiness moves deeper. Eventually the rest of my body also gets itchy and I get hot and I want to take off all my clothes (in fact, I do, if possible).
I also sometimes pull off my clothes during a meltdown.

Anyone else experience this?

I feel as if my mind is hovering above my body, tingly, and find myself rocking against the wall.

This. Not necessarily over but outside of my body.

I think this is partially because of the ned for joint pressure, which helps to restore the senses.

My back gets so itchy I want to pull my top off an scratch there in the street. It usually makes me go home though.
