I was reading on the web that several scientific studies have concluded that people with asperger's have poor dream recall. My dreams are very vivid and I often remember them in great detail. Just wondering what other peoples experiences are.

Sometimes I remember it almost in every detail, sometimes the dreams are just gone.

Or a social ret*d that nobody likes -- quote urban dictionary

I can't remember my dreams unless something wakes me up in the middle of them.

Always vivid, remember nine of ten, roughly.

Yes Machine1 I know the feeling, well I can kind of make friends I just can't be arsed with them! Requires too much energy and its damn confusing.
I suppose the fact I have such detailed dream recall is because I have such poor quality sleep, which is why I've just had to prise my chin out of the space bar, I'm so dopey midday!

Personally when I'm unsatisfied with my music, or with my daily pursuits, I tend to have very huge, vivid, adventurous dreams remembered so crystal clear in the morning. When I'm satisfied or letting out creatively, I won't dream at all.

fresco, do you have the links to those articles?

I have found that I remember my dreams less as I get older. But I've heard other people say the same. Its frustrating because I like to remember them. I'm trying to start doing a "dream journal" right when I wake up.

I can remember bits and pieces.

I thought that most people had trouble remembering their dreams?

Hi Juggernaut, here is the web address to one of the studies :

This should be a link, not sure if it worked!

When I actually get to sleep I dream quite vividly and more often than not I remember them in the morning.

Last night I dreamt I was on one of those giant keyboard things on the floor that you play by jumping on. I was playing pop goes the weasel, I've had that tune in my head for about four weeks and yesterday I bought a little music box that plays it when you turn the handle. I'm a little worried that I'm now dreaming about the tune though. :D

I think I have the same thing happen to me!

Occasionally, I dream that I am watching our version of "Wheel of Fortune," (I am from America by the way,) someone wins big and I wake up before it even happens.

I hardly ever recall dreams.

There's one nightmare I've had repeatedly, and I remember bits of that (both images and feelings), but that's about it.

In fact, I'm not sure whether I dream at all, most of the time.

Normally I forget them. About the only dreams I remember in great vivid detail are nightmares. Like this one time, I dreamed I was eaten by a giant potato monster (4 years old) then I was eaten by a yeti (9 years old) then I was eaten by the butcher (guy from diablo one) (10 years old). . . I get eaten alot in my nightmares =/

But as for regular dreams, more often then not, I forget them.
