Unlike most sites for aspies. Anyway I'm new here, just poping in to say hi.

I've always wanted to talk to other people like me, unlike the general population who I swear all have mental retardation.
Anyway I've got a question for you guys and gals, is therapy any good? I've been stuck in my room for the last 4 months playing Starcraft and reading about psychology/human interaction, yet I can barley get motivated to go outside (no I don't watch twilight  ). Would therapy even put me back on the right track or is it a waste of money? Living on a government benfit is an extremely tight squeeze and I really don't want to waste money if I don't have to.

Thanks C:

My own personal experience with therapy was that it helped immensely. When I started therapy, I didn't leave my house for days at a time and wouldn't even answer my phone because I was afraid to talk to people. Now I am much much better. It took me about a year of weekly sessions.

I am thinking of going back soon.

Welcome!

Depending on where you are, if you're drawing a govt. pension, you can probably get that therapy for free, or on a sliding scale...

Have A Great Day!

Try to talk logicaly to anyone and you get an extremely over emotionaly dramtic reply.
I think everyone thinks emotions = logic, explains why society fails people with mental illnesses and that have suffered abuse. I guess its a wise choice for society to worship charismatic idiots

Sounds very promising! What type of therapy did you do?

Unfortunatly not, its funny how child molestors in my country don't get death sentences but get free therapy.

You too Rob!
