Do you stem?

I do I flick paper. What do you do?

Drum on things.

I fidget with my clothes, or the strap of a bag. I rock from side to side. Do little finger movements, flap my hands, flick my tongue over my teeth, stare at objects (especially up high), even sometimes wave my arms around.

That's "Stimming".

I correct people.

Or is that my Special Interest?

I Usually stem by using a string like thing

I like to squeeze, twist a soft T-shirt as I imagine sports.

(So, I sometimes do intellectual work privately in my room, take a break and stem or stim. Do more intellectual work, another break for stemming, etc. I kind of enjoy the whole session. In fact, I like being in the house alone so I can bust loose and do this. I also like being able to talk to myself.)

I swivel from side to side on my ankles pretty much whenever I have to stand still.
I pace.
I make random, unprovoked facial expressions when not in immediate company. By immediate, I mean, not when people are in the room. I totally do it when I'm driving or walking down the street.
I do little motions with my hands, random.
I tap on everything, to tunes in my head or that I'm listening to, or to generic tunes like "Camptown Races", for example.
