So I was wondering, does anyone else tap things? like the bottom off you glass as your drinking? or if you start to tap things, do you notice that you have to just tap it a few more times (and if you don't, if drives you mad and you end up doing it anyway)? And also, do you have some special way or like ritual!! That you do to stop from driving yourself mental through tapping everything?

Or is it just me :)

I haven't tapped anything in a few years, if you know what I mean. :)

But no, not really. I fidget. Tapping just pisses me off, regardless of who's doing it.

I've tapped on stuff my entire life. Drove people nuts.. still does. I don't even notice I'm doing it sometimes until someone yells at me.

I tap everything, especially if I forget to cut my nails or just newly polished them. I usually double-tap things without thinking of it, don't notice until people ask me why I'm doing it

Same as the above posters.
I tap things all the time. Or, I used to.
But, when I realized it bothered people, I tried really hard to stop.
I think I still do it occasionally.

Sometimes, mostly if I'vve got a song stuck in my head, or I'll just kind of make up my own to kind of "tap to".

I fidget a lot anyway, but tapping is definitely one of the ways that I fidget with things. It moves my hands and makes a sound so it's got that double-effect... feel and sound... Is a nice way to zone out and let myself stop thinking :)

I tap things all the time. I don't care if I annoy people when I'm doing it.

I tap out melodies that are stuck in my head, or I tap out a rhythm that soothes my anxiety, or when I'm listening to my iPod I "play" the song I'm listening to on my leg or whatever surface is handy. (Along with the melody of the song)

If you're going to do it, make it useful!

Yes, especially when listening to music... tapping along to the beat.

I do that sometimes, but I hate when anyone else does. It's so weird; that's how I am with tons of noises.
