KingdomofRats is LF autistic. There are some people around here that are as well.

I'm HFA but diagnosed AS.

If you're feeling left out here, I understand.

I just looked up my diagnostical reports:
One says: autism spectrum disorder
One says: autism
They told me verbally HFA / AS, as I talked at 1.5 years. But they say, that I had a lot of delay in my development, as I could not connect to food from birth on and had to wear diapers until age 4.5 and others.
So - correctly I guess I am AS because of early speaking.
But to me I simply have an ASD, so I do welcome the new DSM.

And don't feel alone, nintendofan. Even if I can be verbal, I also have meltdowns where I hit myself as I was reading in your other thread, because even if I am verbal, I still often cannot communicate IRL.

I'm sorry if you feel left out. I wish I could say something to make you feel better, but I don't know what it would be..

I am not AS. Not always low functioning. May be in between. Nonverbal though. Lots of people have said I am low functioning. Especially before I learned to type.

I do not have much interest in posting here. This place it is for AS and HFA. Not me. I save my words for school and my online journal mostly.

I have Asperger's, but I can at least tell you that I like reading the posts of you guys with classic autism, and in some cases can relate to them more than those by the other aspies (and in those I can't still find them to be more descriptive at times).

nice to meet you, i am a bit verbal not much, i only speak word to my mum she been with me lots esp since birth, and i just learned to speak to mum over time, i speak to younger brother to been around him since i was about 2 when he was born. i am completly nonverbal to anyother family member or anyone else ever meet, even if they do things with me for years i only ever raley able a few words. nothing like "mutism" that for sure, mum says she thinks im at the LF end of spectrum. i diagnosed "autism" that all they said

More descriptive is a good thing, yes. It means that it lets me learn far more about myself (and/or my boyfriend) than if I was reading only posts by aspies. In the case of you, you writing about self harming during meltdowns has helped me a bit with my quest to not react as poorly when my boyfriend starts punching himself in the head during meltdowns.

By "guys" I meant 'people', sorry. I was including littlelily in there too, though I hadn't known your gender.
