I'm confused. I have Asperger's and don't particularly relate to ADD as commonly depicted, yet a lot of my problems with organization, completing tasks, focus, etc. seem to be better addressed by ADD books than Asperger's books. I had no ADD-like issues when I was younger; this is something that's just been a problem since hitting 40. Does anyone know anything about the relationship between Asperger's and ADD?

I'm diagnosed with both. I think it's common for them to occur together.

Ohh look, a shiny thing...

Ditto.

I was originally diagnosed with ADHD before they figured out that I'm on the spectrum. Still have issues with concentration.

And chocolate cake! (Or at least that's what Pinkie Pie says). Oh yeah, I'm also diagnosed with both. But diagnoses aside, shiny things + squirrels = ADHD.

Me, too. I've noticed my ADD has increased with age, but I am sleeping a lot less, too. (about 4 hrs a day average) But that's about as deeply as I've thought about it lately. Everything has been a blur since...what's that noise outside? Whoops, just remembered I'm boiling water...Oh, hi kitty cat...

Thanks for the help. That's cleared up my confusion. At the moment I seem to be having more problems on the ADD side of things, so I'll plan on working with that.
