Hello semi-friends. I just found this site while looking up some stuff on Aspergers. I have it.... Anyway, I'm sick of the persistent mild physical discomfort. I would do anything to have just a neutral feeling during the day. I just dont feel comfortable, almost like aches, but not really, hard to explain. It's especially bad when I first wake up. It's like my body needs to "warm up" to feel better. Anyone else have this, and any suggestions?

my classes at school are reallly cold and i get really uncomfortable just sitting there not doing anything. it feels like my mind is going a million mph and always wish that i could just be home in my safe, warm bed. i hate when people touch me, too.

Frankly, this has nothing to do with Asperger's syndrome. It might be neurological, but it isn't from the Asperger's. You might want to consult a doctor about it because I don't think you're going to find many people on this website (or any other website) with this particular problem.

It's possible you will get more responses if you change your avatar.

Welcome to Wrong Planet, I actually think there is likely to be some physical discomfort with Asperger's disorder especially if you have sensory problems and anxiety. If you are unable to filter sensory input or suffer frequent anxiety attacks the body will be under constant stress, resulting in stiff muscles and lower resistance to infection. Also some people have lower levels of melatonin which results in poor quality sleep, therefore on waking you are likely to feel unrested and groggy.
I think the best thing to do is make sure you have a good balanced diet and get exercise, if you have any other symptoms seek advice from a GP. I feel dreadful when I wake up, I think I don't relax enough at night I am trying to do things to promote relaxation but my brains too active to switch off!! If you feel tired often you may be low in iron or B12, lower levels of these nutrients are common in those with ASD's. Of course some people with AS are absolutely fine physically I'm not saying everyone has health/sleep problems. Anyway welcome to the forum!

Yeah, it's really difficult to read with that thing pulsing in the margin.

You might get some relief from fish oil or cold-pressed olive oil.

yes i can relate to that i feel terrible in the morning like i have to drag myself out of bed and my brain is in a fog. I think it is all stress related. Being under constant stress will really run you down physically and mentally.

When I put fish oil on my avatar, it seemed to help a lot.

Yes,Please change your avater.

I am often "achey" apon waking...perhaps my age (43)sleep apnea(wake up with headaches)and not enough stretching.I would recommend Yoga and B100 Vit,1000mg C and the fish oil.My problem with this is ,I forget to take them(and hate swallowing pills)but I know it does help some people.
