Here's a list of fake people who probably had it.

Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes.
Lisa Simpson from The Simpsons.
Mr. Spock from Star Trek.
Dilbert.
Frankenstein's monster.
Sherlock Holmes.

Colombo had it in spades ! !!

Doubtful HPL had it. He was enormously creative, but not obessive about anything I've ever read.

I have been reading Hans Christian Anderson's autobiography and biography (Danish source), I don't believe he had it. I do think his intellectual rival, Soren Kierkegaard did. Kierkegaard was made fun of for his verbosity and ability to write way above his audience. He was obsessive and intellectually accomplished at a very young age. HCA parodied him in a story/play by making him the parrot who repeats himself. Kierkegaard is considered the Grandfather of Existentialism.

It's possible that HCA was AS but I think there were very strong external forces that made him who he was. He had to fight very hard to maintain his sanity while growing up in a very critical, corrupt society with extremes of wealth and poverty.

I don't think Mozart had it either. I think he was either bipolar or just severely depressed compounded with alcoholism.

You're probably right. I've been getting all this from a website that says Michael Jackson also has it.
