Do you think the kids in this film is mild, moderate or severe? I know these terms are meaningless but would you have said high functioning or low functioning?

I've seen this film before and I recall that the childen varied greatly, the older gentleman who has a fit over the changed bus schedule is quite articulate but not as high functioning as he seems, the younger boy who I think lost his mother? - He's no more severe then anyone here, his behavioral difficulties could be seen in any NT, particularly when you lose a parent. The young black girl seems the most severe to me.

I would say most of them are moderate. They probably won't be able to cope in mainstream school but are not non-verbal.
Manir (I think that's how you spell his name) reminds me of me a little bit. He is probably going to be high-functioning when he grows up, but remember his mum was ill and has died and so a change in his behaviour is to be expected anyway, Aspie kid or no Aspie kid. Part of him seems like a typical obnoxious high-schooler, and he doesn't do things like stim or twitch, and neither do I. So I would say he's on the same sort of ''level'' as I am. I'm not explaining myself right but I know what I mean. He looks like he has ADHD mixed with his AS. When I say he reminds me of me, I mean he acts the same when he's angry as I do when I get angry. I go all argumentative and stubborn, and very verbal.
You can tell Roy is Autistic more by his characteristics, but seems pretty high-functioning, but shows his Autism a little. He reminds me a bit of a friend of mine who is diagnosed with moderate Autism. I would go on about a different bus service, but that's only because buses are my current special interest and I just get anxious when seeing a new change to a bus in my favourite bus company because I get afraid that my bus might be affected and I not see my bus-drivers any more. If I wasn't obsessed with buses, I probably wouldn't notice or care.
It's also quite typical of an Autistic person to emotionlessly rant on about something and nobody's really listening.
I think Liam is a darling - very calm and trusting and sweet. Reminds me of me a little bit. When a friend is being a bit overpowering and frightening me a little bit, I still seem to stay calm and cool with them.
