I work voluntarily in a job because right now the way things are heading into the crapper I can't get a job any other way, and it annoys me how people get on their high horse when people have issues with work or whatever, for various reasons...
If you notice my salvo at the end of the comments section that was designed to put such an ass in his place and shut the trolls up once and for all, do you think I am wrong in my comments?

Basically, I am a big cat on forums, I like to watch discussions or arguments and maybe have a bit of banter, but when things get personal I will weigh in and stomp a few heads and basically put them in their place, would you have handled things a bit differently?

(I have been around the internet since it started, I once went from a newbie member right up to the top level admin (1:250,000) that only three people ever held by way of distinguished member, forum mod and senior mod in one of the most competitive forums in the world, by not even trying to achieve it so know how to deal with idiots...)
At what point do things get a bit too much, what would you have said in this situation where people are directly attacking people who volunteer their time?
