Like many Aspies, I struggle a lot with legible handwriting. I found a guide online that had a new method of handwriting that I find works a lot better for me. Essentially, rather than writing by holding your arm steady and moving your fingers, you write by holding your fingers steady and moving your arm. My handwriting is still not beautiful, but when I slow down and I apply this technique, my handwriting becomes much more legible. I wanted to share it with all of you in the hopes that you would find it helpful too :) The link is http://www.paperpenalia.com/handwriting.html . It's a very short read, but it's good stuff :)

Thank you so much! My handwriting hasn't improved at all since I was in middle school, and in fact may have actually gotten worse. For example, my a's look like u's, and my t's and f's look like floating L's. This may be a problem when I apply for jobs in the near future, because I've heard that employers erroneously think that people with poor handwriting are unintelligent. So I'm going to try everything in order to make my handwriting look better.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try it. My handwriting is terrible. I don't think employers see it as a sign of unintelligence, though. I have never met such attitude.

That's interesting, I hadn't realised aspies in particular had trouble with handwriting. I had thought it was just me. :)

Thanks for the resource, I am in fact doing exactly what that guide says i'm probably doing if I have awful handwriting. Interesting!
