Does anyone else have extreme interests of specific people? Where you want to be like them because of how cool you think they are or whatever? I tend to go through phases like that. Right now I want to be like Joan Jett. I was just wondering if anyone else was like this.

Angelina Jolie and Henry Rollins. Angelina was the first hardcore girl I remember seeing in the media, and I wished I could be that fearless.

Yes, I've always been an excessive obsesser over certain people. Well, ever since I was about 11 or 12 I've been obsessed with different people.

First I was obsessed with Spanish people. I loved the accent, loved the country, and just admired the behaviour and vibes of Spanish people, and wished so much that I was a Spanish woman myself, but instead I was just a measly British kid at school, who struggled with learning the language Spanish, let alone try to be a Spanish person!

Then I got obsessed with 2 people who lived next door my my aunt. I don't know why it was them, since they were so random, but the obsession grew worse, and I got obsessed with more people who were to do with these 2 people, and soon I made myself obvious and looked stupid and made a fool of myself, and I even got a name for myself. This obsession started when I was 13 and ended when I was 17, but by the time I was 17 I started maturing a bit and keeping my distance from these people.

Then at 17 I stepped onto the people who I am currently obsessed with today, and they are bus-drivers. I've done a lot better because I have learnt not to make myself look obvious. I do speak to one of two of them because I fancy them and they know it, but I'm showing the signs maturely, I'm not being stupid or weird about it, so they just think I'm a young person who fancies them and they like it. So I'm doing well.

But having intense obsessions with people makes me feel depressed at times, because I wish so much that I was them instead of just being measly old me with s**t social skills and will never be liked by many people, and I see these bus-drivers all having normal social skills and are socially accepted by eachother. Well, actually, there's a woman on one of the buses and somebody told me she has a developmental disorder. I don't think it's AS, but she has trouble pronouncing a lot of words, like if she said ''cinema'' she would say ''cimema'' (I've heard her speak like this before), and she speaks slow. But she is lovely, and is pretty socially accepted no matter what condition she's got because all the passengers say she is one of the most friendliest in the company.

I used to want to be Tim Burton. He had everything I wanted: a hot girlfriend, millions of dollars, and getting to create popular movies based on his imagination.

I remember the Joan Jett look in the 80s. I had that haircut and makeup and the clothing style back when she first got popular. The key to the look is the haircut and also the eyeliner.

I have been obsessed with a friend since I was 13 years old, I knew him on internet, I didn't have RL friends at that time, I ve never seen him in person: the idea scares me, I think I would dissapoint him, I'm not the same at internet, I won't be able to talk with him.
He is an amazing strategist and has incredible social skills, he is very good reading people, he can write stories and he is also good at marcial arts, I think he is like a movie character but in real world. I use to get interested in people and characters who has someting in common with him. Now that I think most of my interests are related to him :S

I almost got a tattoo to match the one Kathleen Hanna from Le Tigre and Bikini Kill has at one point because I was so obsessed with her. I am glad I didn't go through with it, but I still love her : )

I've had people obsessions many times. But they were mostly over authority figures such as teachers, professors, and a pastor. I think I was just looking for fatherly attention and love because I lacked it at home and my own biological parents weren't there for me much.

The one with my former pastor lasted from age 13 until I was 27 years old. The things I did due to that particular obsession make me cringe now. He was, in retrospect, a complete narcissistic A-hole so I don't feel so bad about hounding him since he probably deserved all the trouble I put him through.
