I'm curious....

If you even THINK you have AS, how often do you watch TV or go to the movies? What kinds of things do you watch?

I am not aware of any correlation between AS and TV/movies.

I never said there was one, I'm just curious. I have watched WAY too much TV. I was wondering how all of you handle it. Besides, the ASD spectrum is actually VERY interesting. Some people are affected in such broad ways. There might just be some kind of link.

I watch TV all the time but don't go to movies very often. They cost more and its cheaper to see it when it comes to DVD

That's how I am when it comes to movies. I either wait for a movie to come out on DVD, or I record it when it comes on cable.

Other people go to the pub. I go to the movies. And watch lots of TV too. (It's better for my health than smoking.)

I rarely go to the movies and I only watch one or two TV channels. The Asperger's is apparent in the fact that I watch the same movies and episodes of my favorite TV shows over and over and over again. I quote them, I mimic them, etc.

I hate TV and movies, but I can spend ALL DAY on the internet. That's not an exaggeration.

I watched a few shows when I was younger but lost interest from 16-30.I started again when X-files came on air, also liked the learning channel, history channel,Discovery,Bravo....decided TV wasn't evil, just depended on what you chose to watch. When I lived alone I had the TV on all the time to "keep me company" but seldom paid attention to it.I hated anything but "alternative and foreign flicks" for along time...hated the "hollywood message" but it seems like I have gotten less judgemental(or suffering old age braindeath)and can find many popular movies entertaining now...especially animated movies like "Ice Age"....like watching old movies on the classic movie channel.

I refuse to go to movie theaters....to loud and smelly, very distracting and expensive...I wait to rent.

In the late 90s/early 2000s I went to the movies quite a bit, but I rarely today. I'd go more if I enjoyed the current fare. When I was a kid I watched absurd amounts of television, while today what little television I do watch is on DVD (for example "24"), or YouTube (for older stuff) (or something like that). I enjoyed the History Channel, and to a lesser extent the Discovery Channel when I was a TV watcher but I tend to get my historical info from reading today.
