What would make you assume someone needed a 'carer' with them to do basic things like going on a train etc...... even if that person could do anything without aid what would give you the impression they needed assistance?

If a person can do anything without aid they wouldn't give me the impression they needed assistance. For instance, I can do anything for myself so I don't need assistance to get on a train.

If they asked for it, I suppose.

Or if history suggests otherwise (if I knew someone who had a hard time with a train once before, I would be inclined to believe they might need help in the future).

If they struck me as being confused, lost anxious, uncertain, and were not making an effort to ask officials (train conductor, person at the ticket window, etc) for help, as if the thought did not occur to them or they seemed to not know how.

Do you have another question about this maybe one with more specific detail about a specific situation? There seems to be more on your mind about this that you have not told us.
