I noticed that my general ability to do things depend on how I feel. If I imagine a music, I get a feeling and depending on the feeling, my actions will be fast or slow, skillful or not, etc. So in fact, if I get the right feeling, I can do things without really thinking about it, just everything is natural. And if I've got a bad feeling, I can be terrified by the simplest action.

Does it work for you ?

This explains me very well. I think music really affects me...more so than my NT friends and coworkers.

That's why they're called emotions - they motivate people to act.

Ok. Maybe emotions are less naturel for Apsie.

^ This is a myth.

Aspies have emotions; many of us have difficulty expressing them, either in an appropriate manner or at all. This means that we either express our emotions with lots of drama, at an inappropriate time or place, or we don't seem to be expressing them at all.

But we most certainly do have emotions!

Oh I did not mean Apsie have no emotions. I meant by natural that it is rather easy to handle. Like the difference when you know how to ride a bycle or not.

Yeah, I think perhaps we Aspies internalize our emotions more than NTs sometimes. I do at least.

When I am at my most emotionally agitated, people say I seem the most unaffected. It is like I have a parasympathetic response to external stimuli.

In true crises, I am cool and collected. During normal, non-crisis life, I am a basketcase.

I sometimes think I would be great in a combat situation...working in a office makes me crazy. 8O

How is handling one's own emotions considered "natural"?

Also, I've seen plenty of people that can't seem to handle their emotions at all. I have pretty strong emotions, but I keep them to myself most of the time. Other people seem like they always become the center of attention whenever their emotions go haywire (whether it is because they are trying to draw attention or others just naturally [pardon the pun] flock to the rescue).

That's a good question. Maybe not realling thinking about it, rather inconsciously. So when it goes wrong, it can be hard to manage them.
