re, aspies in science circa 1940s-70s CE USA.....

Someone mentioned that they had ancestors, parents and grandfathers who were blatantly aspie and they functioned because the social arrangements of that time meant they got an arranged marriage, or assistance in finding a mate to get married and their jobs did not care about their behavior so long as they worked good/were efficient. Anyone remember those posts/threads? I was reminded of that.
