So, I've been being irritated that people assume either that people's sensory issues are either hyposensitive and seeking or hypersensitive and avoiding, because I don't fall into either of those categories. I tend towards hypersensitive and seeking (I primarily seek 3 senses, but overall lean towards hypersensitive and seeking).

So, I went through the lists at http://spdlife.org/symptoms/index.html to try to identify each of the categories I'd fall into, I ended up determining I seem to fall under:
-propioceptive hyposensitivity, interoceptive hyposensitivity
-tactile hypersensitivity, gustatory hypersensitivity, olfactory hypersensitivity, visual hypersensitivity, auditory hypersensitivity, vestibular hypersensitivity, interoceptive hypersensitivity
-tactile seeking, gustatory seeking, vestibular seeking,
-olfactory discrimination issues, visual discrimination issues, auditory discrimination issues, propioceptive discrimination issues, vestibular discrimination issues, interoceptive discrimination issues,
-dyspraxia

...that's a long list.

What are other people on here dealing with?

Every sense is very sensitive for me. Hearing is the most sensitive, but also the most refined and well-tuned. The others, the sensitivity is more just getting overloaded/overstimulated easily from them. I often wear sunglasses, even indoors, to decrease the amount of sense information coming in. Earphones and earplugs are always on me, too.

I also have many issues with touch - I often dislike physical contact even from family members.

Smell and taste are issues, but not as big as the others.

I have a severe hearing loss but if high pitched sounds are loud enough for me to hear...I either run to get away, or if escape is unavoidable I get very aggressive.

I am very visually oriented, I dont miss much visually....clutter mentally paralyzes me.

The combination of the energy of crowds, the stream of moving stimuli and the random banter of many conversations at once causes meltdowns...airports are the worst!

as far as feeling goes...I love to feel things, I love textures, but prefer to wear cotton or other natrual fibers. hate tight clothes, dont like to be rubbed, the only touch I tollerate is tight hugs, patting, or my hair played with.

smell...my sense of smell is poor for some reason

as far as taste goes, very sensitive to hot (spiced) foods...but I love soft foods like pudding and oatmeal

Smell - very sensitive. If my dad is cooking with curry, the sauce makes me feel sick. Same with my brothers deodorants.
Touch - I can't tolerate my head or legs being touched, can tolerate (and like) tight hugs.
Taste - no problems
Hearing - I easily overload, so am starting to consider ear-plugs.
Sight - bright lights (such as in a theatre) make me want to hide under my coat.

- Tactile Defensiveness (seams/tags/some materials, tickling, extremes in temperature)
- Oral Defensiveness (ALL)
- Olfactory Defensiveness (aerosols or sprays...literally can't breathe when sprayed around me)
- Auditory Defensiveness (startled by loud sounds, issues with appliance sounds, difficulty transitioning from quiet to loud)
- Vestibular Defensiveness (vertigo/fear of heights, dizziness, difficulty with elevators/escalators/stairs)
- Interoceptive Defensiveness (ALL)

- No under-responsiveness (sometimes can't smell things, sometimes can go out in cold without jacket...but those are not all the time)

- Oral Seeking (crave certain textures/flavors excessively, chew/suck/place objects in mouth)
- Visual Seeking (stare at bright/spinning lights, need light in room to concentrate)
- Vestibular Seeking (all the things that I didn't list for defensiveness...love being upside down, repeat certain movements, love amusement park rides)

- No sensory discrimination

- Proprioceptive Motor Dysfunction (ALL)
- Interoceptive Motor Dysfunction (Digestive issues, heartrate/respiration don't match condition...racing heart while at rest)

-----------------------------------------------

Looks like I'm mostly oversensitive and rarely undersensitive. Sounds about right! The Interoceptive Defensiveness is particularly interesting for me, because I've been concerned in the past that I had medical issues that were causing that type of pain/discomfort.
