I'm seeing someone for a diagnosis probably this month. I have a list of things that has already convinced two doctors that it's worth checking out whether I am on the spectrum or not, hence the referral for a diagnosis. But some things I'm not sure if I should put on the list. Your opinions please?

1) I seem to be sensory seeking, at least when it comes to showering. I will stand forever underneath hot water, rocking back and forth. It's often my response to overstimulation, and if I'm not worried that someone is going to barge into the bathroom, I'll rock with my hands over my ears to shut out that input too. It's not so much the rocking I'm questioning, it's the sensory seeking part. When I was a kid I couldn't stand baths or showers, but for some reason as an adult I love them.

2) Obsessions. I am quite well versed about musical theatre, and consider that to be my main and long lasting obsession, but I have a few very specific ones inside of that. One particular song from the musical Chess, I listen to over and over, and I know which actress sang it in every cast, and how long each version is. Putting on headphones and playing this song repetitively is instantly calming.

On the subject of obsessions, my latest one is specifically the Disney movie Tarzan. I watch it at least once a day, and listen to the song "Two Worlds" on repeat pretty much like the song from Chess. It has the same instant calming effect.

I feel like this might be an age-inappropriate or unusual thing for a 28 year old guy to do?

"Age-inappropriate", possibly, but not unusual. Plenty of adults in their twenties like "kid" stuff.

But, yes, mention those things. They are relevant to diagnosis.
