the late william buckley spoke with a "posh" new england american accent [muted Rs and vowels and such] that reminded me a lot of olde england. would that i would have as cool and refined an air as he. as for me, i sould like a cross between bill gates and john goodman, with the former's geeky drawl and the latter's baritone gravity, strictly joe lunchbucket in terms of [the lack of] poshness. translated into something closer to your home, i would be far closer to hammersmith than to the "NOOC"-sneering denizens of sloan square.

I don't speak posh at all haha >.<
I cuss a lot to show my relation towards something and I also mix it with complex words but I wouldn't say that my accent is posh at all since the area I come from in Denmark is where there are a lot of farmers so people from the capital city Copenhagen would adress me as a farmer even though I can't stand nature and I am 50% gamer, 50% nerd x)

I sound like Ellie Mae Clampett after a hard night of drinking.

Huh... my english accent would just be a regular hispanic accent, but in my own language people think I'm from a different region of my country.

I think i am sometimes perceived as posh as a result partly of the fact that i tend to use uncommon words.

accent wise i've always been taken as a foreigner - where ever i've lived. Even in the suburb where I was born and grew up!

People usually perceive me as either arrogant or very educated because of the proper way I speak and the verbiage I employ. Ask me about sports or pop culture and I draw a blank. Ask me about politics, economics or some other "heavy" subject though and I can talk your ear off.

I'd also ask if anyone else here gets enamored of new words and tries to use them when they learn them? I sometimes like employing archaic words that no one else uses just because they sound cool to me.
