I have a couch that is covered in microfiber with a sort of velvety texture... the surface is smooth so I dont have as much of that problem, but since it is synthetic it's hott to sleep on in the summer.
Soft cloth I enjoy, even if it does pull at my skin... in fact I love soft cuddly cloth. I think I've had some super soft microfiber blankets before that I LOVED... like they made fleece and silk seem rough and rigid lol.
My guess is, other than the skin-breathing issue... that I actually loooooooove microfiber!
(I should also mention, I am not as hypersensitive when it comes to the feel of things, and am more so with sound and light so maybe that is part of why?)
