I have a real hangup about plaque on my teeth because I can't stand the feel of it. I clean my teeth 4 or 5 times each day because of that. Once I have eaten I feel compelled to clean my teeth before I do anything else, even washing up, because the feel of anything on them is so awful.

So, how often do you clean your teeth and does anyone else have this problem?

Also do you enjoy the feel of cleaning your teeth and are you very particular about which toothpaste you use, do you find the taste of a certain brand horrible or nice?

Averaging twice a day. I sometime clean them 3; sometimes only 1.

Once a day.

I went all throughout primary and high school without cleaning them; my teeth are fine.

You may actually be damaging your teeth as well as irritating your gums with over-brushing. I always use mouthwash with my teeth cleaning ritual. You didn't mention mouthwash so it suggests maybe you don't. Try substituting a plaque fighting mouthwash for some of the cleanings. So I'd say that with the thought in mind that over-brushing may actually be damaging your teeth you might be able to control that compulsion by simply applying logic.

I brush them twice a day. I never think they get quite clean enough, though, and after meals I will often use a toothpick to remove any food that's stuck between my teeth.

I brush daily and have my entire life except when I am camping.

Ya know when you go off into the woods with everything you need on your pac, things always seem to get left out, forgotton.

One this is absolutly a toothbrush and toothpaste. Having not cleaned my teeth for over a day and it does drive me insane!

Am have bad teeth.
As a toddler/child up to adult,am would only chew down on tooth brushes and bite hard, actual brushing causes strong overload,am have also had a life long thing with tooth paste eating and developed dental fluorosis because of it.
Now am do not have a problem with tooth brushes because am do not use brushes, and only use the green/blue listerine,am see a disability specialized dentist who understands the problem and says it's better to use than nothing, mum wanted them to put false teeth in am,she complains about the front teeth looking like they're going to fall out but that is because they've had root canal treatment and have not had proper covers put on yet.

1 to 2 times a day, floss, Listerine . Can't brushing them too much eat away your enamel?

I'm soooo bad about brushing my teeth....I do it once or twice a fortnight, usually no more than 4 times.

Approxamately once a day.

Until about 1 year ago, I used to brush once every week or so. I hated it because it always made my gums bleed, even when I was a small child. I still do hate the way brushing feels.
