Is what I'm feeling a meltdown?
So i had specific plans after work. I was planning on going to the RC track and practice. Problem#1: When I put my batteries on the charger they didn't want to charge properly. Problem#2: they're now calling for rain! Problem#3: just got told i need to stay late at work.
Now i'm completely stressed out and pissed at everything and everyone! Alone in the bathroom trying to cool down. Now i just want to go home and lock myself in my room and do nothing!
Would this be considered a meltdown? I've never considered any of these feelings as being meltdowns. (didn't know about AS until about a month ago) I can still function if i absolutely need to. I just really really don't want to!

Yes, I think you may call that a 'meltdown'. The way you describe it 'completely stressed out and pissed at everything and everyone' sounds like the definition of a meltdown to me. Most of the time, the causes for meltdowns seem to be sensory stimulations, but changing plans, especially if it messes with something you had really set your mind on doing, can also be a cause,

I would think so. I also see it as a shut down too if I go numb inside and not want to do anything. I had that at work once because we had a staff meeting and I had to do some extra work and another time it was because the elevators didn't work so I couldn't do my job right and people can't even hold their bladders while I clean the restroom because all the other restrooms were closed because some idiot put forks down the drain (I'm guessing toilet) and caused a sewer back up in the building. So I refused to clean the restroom with people going in there even though my boss told me to or when guests wanted me too and I was like I am not cleaning it if people are going to keep walking in there. I was maybe rude but when I was stressed out or having a meltdown, my tact turns off. Another employee had to put more toilet paper in the restrooms for me because I wouldn't do it. It takes me abut 10-15 minutes to clean those restrooms each and they couldn't even wait that long. Of course if they had a medical problem that would make them not hold it or if they were about to wet themselves because they waited too long, I would let them use the restroom since one person wouldn't hurt but I doubt every one of them has it since it was a bunch of people.
Too much change is over whelming. Even one change can cause other changes and it gets stressful I feel like shutting down or having a meltdown.
I wouldn't consider that a meltdown, but I would consider it overload that might lead to a meltdown.
You're overloaded and losing ability to function, that is relevant.
The difference between that and a meltdown to me is that if you still have the ability to function, I don't view it as a meltdown; its when that control is gone that its a meltdown. Before that point its an overload you need to treat properly so as to not cause a full meltdown or shutdown.

Makes sense. Luckily I got out of staying late and I just went straight home. I.m barricaded in my room (even though no one else is home. lol) and just enjoying the pace and quiet

It's very rare that I just totally shut down and CAN'T do anything, but It happens.
