I'm 17, Male, (undiagnosed Aspie).

I'm finding it hard to a job. It sucks when McDonalds wont even hire me. I'm awaiting a Sainsburys Email since I went for an interview there too, and having two close relatives working there should help, I hope. But it's like this: you have to have charisma when working for random people you probably don't know. You've gotta have a "smile" and all that. It pisses me off when all you need for a low-payed job is a smile and a pare of tits.I have a problem with people I don't know well; that's this: I only talk if I want something, never for the phatic conversation, you know, such as the weather or TV.

Everything sucks and it feels like no-one has anything intelligent to say at any point in there life. Everyone thinks they need to be original, and when told everything is already done, they slide back into emptiness... sharing Cancer awareness photos on Facebook, laughing at cat photos, and making autotuned crap viral on YouTube. It's a big sleepover, and I feel like I'm the only one who's awake.

I do music, writing songs, poems and playing the piano. I only do it if I feel like it 'cos if I'm not in the mood it'll look rubbish when I read it the next day. I'm told to go out more as the music stuff is done inside. But my friends aren't free the same day as I am in the week.

Just to clarify, I meant that in both ways.

A lot of people feel that they are the only ones who are awake, and also a lot of people are braindead as you described.

I find that zombie movies are good to watch when you're in that kind of mood.

"Dawn of the dead" (1978 version) is always a good one. I'm pretty sure the whole zombie apocalypse theme originally came from people who think exactly the same way as you described, so no, you're not the only one.

I don't know what it is really, but there's something comforting about movies like that. Living in a world full of mindless zombies isn't all that bad, if you can keep a hold of your sense of humour, without letting the undead sink their teeth into it.

Brad Pitt just filmed a zombie movie in the city I stay on the outskirts of. I've said this a lot, but he should have moved the location a few miles away, to the town that neighbours mine, and he wouldn't have had to employ any extras. After 10 days of sleep deprivation, just after my daughter was born, I looked more awake than most of the inhabitants.

What is this making things viral on youtube?

I can do the smile and big tits but I fall flat on my arse with the social stuff. Obviously my chest over balances me....

As for intelligent conversation from the general public, oh god, I gave up on that years ago. It's probably why I talk to myself so much. At least I can have interesting conversations about science and maths with myself, and when I am not doing that I prefer to spend time on my art rather than socialising.

I find most socialising to be horribly boring. OK people think I am boring because I prefer to stay home and study for my degree, but I can assure them it's mutual.

I am sure they had a most fascinating night out at the nightclub they go to every week, yes they probably got drunk, yes there was probably a fight, they have a pile of washing to do, something someone else has done has pissed them off and the local gossip is that someone somewhere had an affair with someone they didn't think would be likely to have an affair in the first place (feign shock at this point). A celebrity is getting too thin, a celebrity is getting too fat (pretend to be horrified and mock them), a celebrity is in rehab (again feign shock) and their husband is getting on their nerves (sigh, give them a hug and reply with "oh god I know what you mean" (even if you don't) and then take them shopping).

Now we have most social interaction covered in a nutshell there, I'd prefer to get on with some studying instead as I have some mathematical equations to rearrange and a few fossils/rocks to observe...and after that I am teaching myself to paint with acrylics which is all far more fascinating than the 4 hours of chit chat outlined above!

Due to my differing interests and my tendency to slink off somewhere else by myself to avoid the social chit chat (not to mention my lack of tolerance for it), I don't tend to get on with the staff very well which does not bode well for most jobs or my stress levels.

The YouTube thing is just about immature crap that gets a million veiws. Such as a cat video, or someone getting hit the bollocks. I know it's funny, but c'mon, when do people get to the point where they think. "It's time to change."? And yeah, people find me boring too, I feel they're right sometimes though. And with the drunk thing.. yeah.. all my friends have some socialising "problems" so I don't hear that stuff much, but I get what you mean. I hope you don't mean drinking's bad though, I have a drinking night with my mates playing video games and stuff occasionally and it's all fine. And I'm not friends with anyone who cares about the media, lol, so no-one cares about celebrities, we all listen to differant types of music though xD. And yeah, I too am happier alone than with people.
