I've never heard of that day, but I'll be sure to violently remind everyone I meet of it.
Sometimes, when someone informs me about a holiday I've never heard of before, I do these things.

"Happy Topin Wagglegammon, everyone!"

Happy Autism Awareness Day everyone! I knew of this day for a few years. It is special for me. It makes people aware of what autism is and some websites (news websites) cover it like CNN and MSNBC. I go to this organization called "Autism Awareness" and its in Washington State (where I live). It is starting to spread to other states. I am good friends with them. My whole family is. My dad though is at work too much to see them. I support Autism Awareness both the organization and the holiday.

Happy Autism Awareness Day! I went to the clubhouse earlier on today wearing a Kinks T-shirt and than I went to a pizza joint in the strip mall that I live behind. I sat in a spot where I could be seen by passer bys. I saw a lot of people walk by who go to the soup kitchen that I volunteer at. :)

Frankly, my life was easier when people were less aware.

Awareness without tolerance is nothing but a curse.

Wish they'd go back to being un-aware tomorrow.

Well...

My first thought is it must be from Canada.

My second thought is it cannot be from Canada, because there is no maple syrup on it.

My third and somewhat random thought is I want to play SkiFree.

It's Autism Acceptance day, not Autism Awareness day. And yes, it had passed already. I just happened to be at an autism conference that day. :D
