In brief: If quantum physics points towards matter itself possesing rudimentary "consciousness" Object sexuality and personifcations are "equally valid" as human sexuality and personification. Ive never had an issue with the idea of AI being alive. I would happily sacrifce my life or the life of another human for a self aware Artificial Intelligence. I would consider it to be a livign "breathing" entity. Anyone else feel somewhat similar?

Uhm...in order for an "object" to possess "sexuality," doesn't first have to have an actual gender? I'm well aware that inanimate objects can be used as sexual appliances, but I don't see how that gives the object itself any specific sexuality, as it has no identifiable personality in the first place. Perhaps I'm being dense or obtuse, but I'm just not seeing it.

I really couldn't say until I had met and interacted with an AI at length, but not on general principle, no. Why take a bullet for C3PO, when you can just repair him afterwards? :D

Well i'd say that no it doesnt. I dont see why there has to be a relationship between gender and sexuality. In functional terms... yes. But in terms of pure emotion the link is entirely anthropocentric.
