So,

I finally took courage to do it.
I have an appointment tomorrow in the afternoon... let's see how it goes.

What are you rexperiences? Any tips? I don't know... I guess I just go ahead and tell everything.

I don't want meds or anything, I guess (sleeping pills maybe as an exception)... I suppose I need answers.
I'm employed, so I'm not after any benefit at all. Why am I doing this? I'm not even sure...

And now I'm rambling.

I'll stop now...
Ugh.
yeah.
Bye.

Bring a written out list of stuff you are struggling with or concerned about. If you are not intersted in meds (other than possible sleeping stuff you said) be up front about that. If you are concerned that you may have a condition but you are unsure say so and say why (detailed list). I went in with five pages of stuff (although some were supporting evidences) for the functional stuff I was having trouble with from my depression, as that was what concerned me. I was ok with medication, and my depression is much better although I am going to ask about changing sleep meds when I go back in June.

Be clear about what you are concerned about and why, because they psychiatrist is not a mind reader (although the seem like it sometimes or I have random fears that they are over analyzing my mind). Make sure you are comfortable with the doc, other wise you might not return and that could be bad.

Good luck and relax if you can.

Don't rely on psychiatrists too much, in my experience a lot of them are a bit dim.

Ok that is a bit harsh of me, but I have had bad experiences with them...I tend to lose all hope when they seem to be incapable of telling the difference between social anxiety which is situational and acute and generalised anxiety which is chronic...they are good at confusing the two apparently!

Just see how it goes and don't get your hopes up too much.

Thanks for the answers. As for the questions made:

I want to get an official diagnostic. Do I have Asperger's or not?
I mean, it fits so well it's hard to believe. But I am not a doctor, so...

What do I expect: an answer, I guess. An explanation. Peace of mind, I'm not sure.
I want to understand why I can't go to a Christmas party with all my family because there are too many people there, for example.
Or why I know I'll say something that people will get the wrong way and be offended.
Or why do they tell my tone of voice was so rude when I was trying to joke.

I mean...
Still don't know.
Still anxious.
