do you guys generally get lost during movies? Like no matter how hard I try, I never understand the movie plot. I'm always asking questions and getting characters confused.
is this AS related? Or do I just not pay enough attention?
mabie its because I find it hard to recognize faces and read body movement?

I can definitely relate! I can follow some movies, but most confuse me. I do think it is a combination of me mixing up characters (because I have a horrible time recognizing faces), and the fact that I can rarely distinguish someone's intentions. Because of this, action/espionage movies in particular are impossible for me to watch. I just can't follow along at all even though I'm giving the movie my complete attention. Cheesy comedies and light dramas are usually easier though because they tend to just focus on 2 or 3 characters, and have a very simplistic and predictable plot.

Yeah, but I'm diagnosed with weird cognitive problems, so I may not represent the norm.

I didn't understand John Carter (the Disney film that was in the theaters a few months ago).

I mainly have a hard time with most comedy. I'm VERY particular, because the majority of mainstream comedy is apparently over my head. I don't understand it or find it funny. I like very few, like I do like and understand: Seinfeld, The Big Bang Theory, South Park.
