I saw a thread about this but it was old and I am one who has these fears.

For me, my fears are:

Dentists
Spiders/Bugs
People being in front of me
Trucks being next to the car while driving
Darkness
Horror Movies
Gory things
Needles
Being alone in places without my parents/doing things without my parents
speaking in public
Death
The world ending (Yes, believe it or not the fear of this does cross my mind. >_<)
Friday the 13th
Hospitals
New Situations
People Throwing up
Amputations (Yes, people who are amputees... it just... creeps me out is all... I know it wasn't their fault or anything)
crowds
Getting yelled at
Flying even though I've never flown before in my life... heh...
Being scolded by strangers (for ex. having a stranger tell me i should put something back at a grocery store when I set it in the wrong place will trigger an outburst/meltdown)
Stoves
Knives dropping onto my feet and chopping off my toe(s)
Hot water
Bees/Hornets/Wasps
Changes/unpredictions
Police Officers
Fire Trucks
Police cars
Drowning even though i can swim fairly well
thunderstorms
Loud sounds

I have a really huge list. DX I know there is more... If I think of them I will add them but... yeah.

What are the most irrational fears you have? Mine are usually anything that is likely to lead to anxiety then go from that to a huge massive meltdown.

Right now, I have some serious phobias related to traveling--I'm afraid of flying and I don't like to travel alone because traveling when you don't fly or drive can be an extremely stressful experience. New situations or massive sudden changes can really stress me out. I'm not clastrophobic, but I can get plenty anxious in noisy, crowded, chaotic places (sensory overload?). I don't like being the center of attention, either. I'm not so keen on the thought of mortality. Also, I'm afraid of messing up or failing--as a result, I sometimes "freeze up" when I'm working on something, or I might end up in a meltdown.

Oh thanks for reminding me about Elevators (when on them alone) and choking. x_x I also hate those things. I have a fear of heights too... but that all depends on how much protection or boundaries there are too. If it's in a high building and there are sturdy walls, then I'm okay but if we were driving around a cliffed edge in the car... that freaks me out. >_<

Not sure they'd all class as irrational, but my fears are;

1. Water
2. Bridges
3. Craneflies
4. Dogs
5. Losing my teeth

There is then lots and LOTS of general anxieties such as my boyfriend losing his wallet, the cats getting hurt, new social situations or new locations (restaurants especially - more so if going with another person as there's awkwardness about who is paying) - I could go on forever about all the things that make me anxious and the various ways in which the things that make me anxious could occur etc.

-Going to new places alone
-not knowing what to do in a new situation and looking stupid because of it. So I avoid new situations.
-dentists (more the sensation of them scraping my teeth)
-Big changes (in the process of finding a new place to live)
-being manipulated or blackmailed (Had some minor issues with this resulting in a meltdown or two. If someone did it to me in a major way, I know I'd get violent)

My only irrational fear is of syringes, has been since I was four years old. They don't even hurt at all, which I am aware of.

-When someone is standing near the edge of a precipice, I always have the fear that something is going to cause them to fall.
-When in a social situation, I stiffen up in preparation for defending myself, in the fear that the other person is going to attack me.
-I sometimes have the fear that my connection of brain to body might weaken and paralyze me.
-Heights. (But that's not so much abnormal or irrational.)

Whales, spiders, bugs, heights, either the dark or otherwise being unable to see.

I'm absolutely terrified of roaches and termites. Most bugs I can handle relatively well, but those two make me absolutely flip out lol. And that's saying something, because there's very little out there that makes me do that. I have plenty of other fears, both rational and irrational, but this one takes the cake.
