As opposed to just 1%.

So people are complaining about a decimal being tacked on?

Last year I heard we were 1:110.
Earlier this year I heard we'd increased to 1:100
Now we're 1:88!! Watch out NTs!! :P

BTW, since it seems like federal dollars fund a lot of autistic care, expect this number to change next year to something like 1:110. Less autism diagnoses=money saved at the federal level.

about 1/2 people are neurotypical (don't have anxiety issues, bipolar, autism, adhd, etc.)

1/88 8 year olds in the study had autism and received services. So the amount of people with autism is higher.
