For those of you who have tics, do you get them at all when ever you eat?

With me for some reason when ever I eat, my vocal tics go into high gear. I'm afraid I'm going choke on what I'm eating since a part of my vocal tics involves inhaling.

I've never done it, but; my son does. He sounds like he's growling sometimes!

I've never really had them, I did clear my throat to the point where it was damaged... but that was self induced through OCD.

I get my tic whenever I eat anything chewy like gum or gummies. Its sort of a sucking noise that is annoyingly loud.

I used to make a humming noise whenever I ate. The strange thing was I couldn't hear it.

I used to 'Gollum' whenever I thought deeply... I don't do that anymore...

I don't make any kind of noises like you all are describing, though sometimes I open my mouth in awkward ways while I'm eating food.

My son humms sometimes when he eats. We both have tourettes, and do have tics.

I've been told that I sniff a lot.... I've got a blinking cold at the moment which momentarily excuses me I feel, but apparently I do it all the time......
