...for 4 hours of psychological testing. Yikes! I'm pretty nervous about it. I know that there are similar posts to this, but I wanted to ask: Is there anything I can study first, or is it come as you are?

Go as you are....the best way to get accurate results.

Yikes, that's like marathon psychological testing. I'd be eggshausted within the hour.

I definitely want accurate results! I guess the only thing to study then is myself?

I know. 8O That's why I'm nervous. What are they going to do to me?!

Do you know what kinds of testing you will be doing?

What you don't want to do is to know so much that you inadvertently skew the results. For sure, understand yourself, your behavior, and what to expect. But don't study the supposed responses toward tests.

I was originally referred to testing for Asperger's (I'm pretty sure I have it, but asked for a either a diagnosis or a ruling out of the condition--which requires tests). How that takes 4 hours, I don't know. Maybe they're giving me a full battery? I'm a littler reluctant to see what other "problems" I have...

Go 'as you are' unless otherwise requested - though, if you have report cards or anything specific as such, I would have them along to offer just in case.

I wouldn't worry about the time. When it's done, it's done and I think there is a sense of relief. This is a good step.

I just recently had that. It wasn't so bad. He asked a lot of questions, administered a whole IQ test, and did several other things like a test for reading facial expressions and an ink blot test. (Yours might be different, of course.) The hardest part is waiting for the results! It's driving me crazy!
