Thanks to advances in technology we can, for the 1st time ever, detect whether 3-5 year olds are hyperactive or unusually still. It will also tell us if the tykes have good fashion sense. I plan to take this one step further and yet again revolutionize autism detection. My thesis is titled, "Save the $350 on the Kinect and Use Your Eyes Stupid".

Hahahah. Agreed. This is such an unscientific way to "bring autism diagnosis" to everyone. I would read that thesis.

One thing I saw on some documentary had to do with those eye-scanners that they have in labs which can detect what people/animals are looking at. One guy with autism or Asperger's was watching Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe and they noticed that he didn't look at the people's faces all the time like most people do. He was also looking around at the details of the room, too. If they could bring that to the Average Joe it would be interesting, but its certainly not a full-on diagnostic test for autism.
