This is a common symptom of depression--both the mood and the condition. A large number of people, autistic or not, exhibit this feeling (or lack of) on occasion.

Are you getting an adequate amount (eight to nine hours) of sleep? A deficit in sleep can lead to adverse effects on one's mood.

It could just be a case of hormones gone awry, lack of sleep, poor diet, or something of the sort. Sometimes, a simple change in lifestyle can radically improve one's mood. It could also be indicative of a mood disorder.

At any rate, I do hope that your world becomes a little more emotionally positive. :) Perhaps all you need is some fresh air; nature tend to clear the mind.

Depression is a common co-morbid condition of Aspegers; due to difficulties in regulating and understanding emotions, combined with feelings of alienation, many Aspies do slip into depression.
Medication isn't always the best policy. Have you tried volunteering? Helping others tends to bring a positive mood upon oneself.
If you look at The Haven subforum, you will find several resources for coping with less-than-pleasant moods.

I think that there may be some depression somewhere there. You may want to have it checked out.

1. i feel mentally dead its not depresson but asperger i think what do u think. its the way we think i think we are mentally dead since its a sensory distortion as well as emotionally dead. we dont got those things.

Because you lost track of the things you value. You replaced things you value for things other people value, and you're lost. Quit sacrificing yourself.

The thing I would say is that you would not now be noticing this if it didn't differ from your normal mood. Therefore, it is a new problem. You could be making it worse by focusing on it too much and creating a feedback loop or it may well be that it is something you need to discuss with your doctor.

I would also research depersonalization or derealization as it also describes much of what you are feeling (or not feeling). This can be made worse by certain psychiatric medications or by traumatic stress.

I can relate to it because I suffer from it myself. Sadly though, most of what I know is from researching it on the internet over the years as I am not being treated by a physician for it at this time. However, I can offer this seemingly paradoxical bit of advice: It will never get better until the stress in your life subsides. Part of that reason (I think) is because DP/DR is triggered by the same part of the brain responsible for the "fight or flight" response. It is probably over-activated right now and shutting down the parts of the brain responsible for other emotions. DO NOT SELF MEDICATE FOR THIS!! ! Marijuana and other street drugs can contribute to this problem and actually make it worse, not better. What you need is to see someone who deals with mental health issues. If you are poor, then there are probably some state programs that will pay most or all of your expenses to get treated. I didn't think this was so until I had to take a poor friend of mine to a facility to deal with his anxiety issues and depression. The state picked up the tab for him because he could not afford to pay it himself.

I agree. This is how I feel when I am depressed, which is a whole different thing in and of itself. I am so used to being in this state, that I can function quite normally, even though I feel empty and dead inside.

Asperger's Syndrome doesn't necessarily mean sadness, emptiness, or any of those other things. The vast majority of Aspies I know personally are generally happy people, with a few quirks here and there.

You just described depression.
Depression can suddenly develop, which is what it sounds like.

Depression isn't sadness all the time.
Depression can be exhaustion. Exhaustion can make you stop caring and stop feeling.

Depression is a lack of feeling.

Well, heck. If I chose a username like "cursedforever," I sure wouldn't be in a happy mood much of the time. For sure.
