So, that would be this one then: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dermatophagia

Mouth chewing is mentioned in there somewhere.

I think I'm starting to see a pattern emerging. :)

I do this too during stressful times. I hate it though cause sometimes I'll bite too hard/deep and then it can hurt to eat.

I chewed the ends of my fingers all the time. But I wasn't aware of any anxiety and I'm not very OCD by nature. I felt I had a pretty happy, normal childhood (relatively speaking), and yet, no skin on my fingers!

I don't know what that means. Perhaps they were just tasty!

I clench and grind my teeth while sleeping. I have some sort of dental guard-thingy to protect my teeth, but I often happen to chew on the inside of my mouth. My dentist asked if I did that during the day, and I said no, and she said that was good, and if I ever caught myself doing it, I should make an effort to break out of the habit.
She told me not to panic, but continuous chewing can cause cancer in the long run, so you should do what you can to avoid it.

A do this sometimes, I find chewing on tough objects to be soothing for my teeth. Nothing comes off, though!
