Yeah, totally. I remember multiple coats getting chewed. Like always the right side collar and i think i recall the corner would like fade away where i'd been sucking/ chewing it so much.

On the subject of childhood behaviour, I remember i used to walk around the house and my socks would fall further and further down and they'd just eventually just be half on and because i wouldn't notice things like that and adjust them it'd be a constant with me, socks hanging off my feet. They would quite often just be hanging onto my toes. It was like i didn't notice because i'd be thinking of something else. I think it was only the annoyance of having them get in my way all the time for a good while (as well as people pointing it out to me for ages and me ignoring them) that probably made me start having myself adjust my behaviour. Before that i neither noticed nor cared.

YES! Absolutely, I use to chew all on my sleeves and collar all the time and it would drive my mom insane. Glad to see I wasn't the only one, I use to chew on my pillow and bed covers too.

I used to suck/chew on wet washcloths. I liked the taste and the feel.

Whenever I see certain baby/toddler toys or teething rings that look familiar I have an urge to bite/chew on them. It's really weird.

I am a texture/touch sort of person.

I used to chew the collar of my school uniform when I was about 8 years old.

The teacher even raised it with my mother at the time.

YES!! I used to do this too. Mmm...

I don't think I chewed on shirt collars, but I always had the drawstrings from hooded sweatshirts in my mouth.

Yus I did, much to my mother's annoyance as she had to buy me new clothes given that my years of suckling and chewing on my collar had stretched it out. Not sure why I did it, just a habit.

Oh yes, very very much. In fact, this was by far my worst bad habit ever, I made a decent number of shirts unwearable. I've chewed on shirts without collars as well. They would end up looking like bugs were eating them.

I used to chew on the ends of the sleeves of sweatshirts until they would fall apart, and the ends of those strings that come out of the hoodie part. Also used to chew on pens to the point my teachers refused to lend me anymore because I'd do it without noticing.

The only two people in my family who would do this is my little autistic brother, and me. Of course, he stopped chewing his shirt after a few years due to my parents constantly telling him to stop. he chewed on his shirt, pacifiers, his little siblings bottle nipples, straws, etc. But it took me literally years to stop chewing on stuff. I stopped about a year and a half ago (I am 20) and I used to chew on my shirt, toy parts, plastic straws, backs and lids of pens, pencils, etc. I still chew on ice frequently, and I like gum.

I think this fits in as clothing-related: I used to love it when my more loose-fitting long-sleeved shirts got holes near the cuffs next to the thumbs, so I could stick my thumbs through the holes. I don't remember making holes on purpose but I seem to remember having had a few shirts like this. :?

I did that, too... chewed on the drawstrings.

All the time! It drove my parents crazy...

I still chew on drawstrings when I'm anxious...
