A "funeral" before bullying

I saw a video where it looks like kids staged a "funeral" of the kid they were "going" to start bullying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vb6IlElB6fQ
So if they thought of that kid so little, why would they cry over him? It sort of suggest like they had a religious belief that the kid lost his soul. So they were sad for the soul -- and they supposedly burried that soul at that field where they were grieving -- but they didn't think that much of a "corpse" that was left, so they were bullying the corpse, not the soul.

Anyway, thats just my interpretation of it. But what do everyone else thinks, how would you interpret them crying in the beginning of that video?

My interpretation: The beginning is the end: the funeral is "real"

then: flashback: they start bullying him

the end: he takes some kind of pills to end his life

I just find this sort of thing sick, really.

Hopefully not spoilers, but you reminded me of the movie "Ben X".
I think Skilpadde is right though; they just showed the events out of sequence for a retrospective effect.

I get the impression that the funeral was meant to have occurred after the fact, but for whatever reason they showed it first.

But not sure what the full context is, looks like its maybe a clip of a t.v show or movie, but its all in Russian so not sure.
