I was diagnosed when I was 15.. I lived a very sheltered life in a Christian household.. I was given countless medications (which only made things worse). I didn't talk much, but always had friends for as long as I can remember. Ever since I moved away from my parents aspergers just doesn't seem like it really fits. I make friends, i do have a big interest in music (its not my only interest by far). yes I'm a trip (who isn't?. Is it possible I was misdiagnosed??

Yes, it's possible. Go into the General Autism forum here at WP! There is at least one post article with links to online tests. Take the tests to give you some idea of where you stand. Save the results, and print out at least two copies, one for your records, and one to show a psych doc. If you want an official check on where you stand take one of the copies with you to a psych doc experienced in treating adults on the Autism spectrum, and tell the doc about your doubts.

Just out of curiosity, how accurate would you say the online tests are?

I had friends growing up too and also made them. They came to me and also whenever someone would move in, I would go over there and start to play there. Did you ever have any difficulty with your friends like relating to them and playing with them? Were any of them mean to you or bullied you or used you?

Hard to say if you were misdiagnosed but to say someone doesn't have AS because they had friends doesn't tell me they don't have it or else that would mean I was misdiagnosed and anyone else with it too who also had friends and made them.
