Hi , I'm new here , and I figured this would be the best place to ask a question like this.

I've always been very weird and people tell me that all the time.

I was never a social kind of person , and I have totally different interests that other people my age (21).

On official IQ tests , my scores varied from 89-100~ , and I don't really understand them and have difficulty answering certain questions , while I took an online IQ test with Raven's progressive matrices and I found the questions much easier to solve , and I scored much higher than on standard IQ test.

So, I began to research behavior of people with Asperger's , and I've found that my behavior is really similar , and then I took an online test , and I don't know how much it's accurate , but here are the results :

Your Aspie score: 169 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 41 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

So, what do you guys think? :/

1) Nobody can really tell you but you and a professional; you have to figure it out for yourself; everyone is different etc.

2) A crucial part of AS that a lot of people forget about when assessing themselves is sensory issues. Do you have any sort of sensory issues with light or sound or touch? Are sunny and too bright synonymous to you? Is music that others seem to enjoy regularly overwhelmingly loud? Do you react dramatically to unexpected or specific, unpleasant forms of touch.

3) Stimming? Do you do it? Can you identify a difference between what might be stimming and what is just normal nervous/overcaffeinated?

Just trying to expand the picture of you so we can give more advice and and expand your picture of AS so you can more thoroughly self-assess.

Thank you for your answer.

About issues with light , if you're asking if I'm overly sensitive to light , and sun , then I have to say yes , to the point of rarely staying out too long if it's sunny , and avoiding bright lights , having to set brightness to very low on my monitor etc , cause these things make me very uncomfortable.

As for the music , yes again , I usually listen to Enya and that type of music, and I never go out to like disco or something , cause I can't stand loud music , and I get nervous and sometimes panic around too many people.

3rd yes to touching , I avoid it all the time , and I wouldn't say that i react dramatically , but I just say ' please don't touch me '.

Stimming? If you mean shaking legs , twitching fingers , and these things , than yes , I do it a lot , and I never drink coffee.

Stimming is the difference between a conscious movement of that sort and a more automatic movement that calms the mind. I, for instance, cannot really stop myself from repeatedly tangling my fingers around the cord of the headphones I am currently wearing. Also, I can have a phone conversation like a real person, as long as I'm pacing and hopping back and forth across the yard.

Yeah , I do similar things without even knowing it .

Well , I guess the only way to really know if I have it is to ask a professional.

Thanks for your help :)

Stimming can be visual, too. For my entire life, I've always felt a sense of pleasure when my gaze would become locked on a particular place on the wall. For several moments, I can't pull my eyes away from that spot. It's strange but it feels good..."fuzzy" could be used to describe it.

I'd say if your social issues are a detriment to your personal or professional life, you could have Asperger's, that is, you find it difficult to get or keep friends, you tend to say the wrong things, or if you do get a friend you're clingy to the point where they feel they need space from you.
