My computer chair and corner is my safe spot. If it's not accesible to me (one of my cats takes it), then I become confused and depressed and cannot function. Even if I don't use the computer I need that place as my "home base".

Not really a specific spot. My house is my safe zone and I don't like anyone disrupting that (visitors etc). I have a spot I almost always sit on the sofa -- sitting somewhere different feels odd. I have my own room in our house which I call my 'quiet' room ... It's a space I can use when I need time to myself in a safe place and the house as whole for some reason doesn't provide that.

Mine is the office chair in my room. I have my main instruments set up around it, and I also have my laptop on the desk next to it usually. I sit there often, and if I can't sit in the chair due to a cat taking the seat, I will feel weird and walk around not sure what to do.

My safe spot is my bed in my bedroom with the door closed.

yeah, computer chair. big leathery wingback thing that looks like it belongs in the young republicans library.

It used to be the driver's seat of my car. I kept the same car as a daily driver from 1989 to about 2002 or so. It's being restored right now. But, that was a really great safe spot. The upholstery on the seat tore and the stuffing came out of it. The springs poked through. But, I would never recover it. I put a seat cover over it. But, I reupholstered the passenger's seat and the rear seat myself. Not the driver's seat.

There's a small couch I sit on in our family's sitting room/alcove to use my laptop. I'd go in my bedroom, but that would make me feel too holed up and isolated. Usually one or both of my parents are nearby in the kitchen or dining room so if they need anything, they can easily call me.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Yes, my chair in the living room that I bought for $10 and carried home on my back half a mile several years ago, my computer chair and desk area, and my recently gifted Honda CR-V.

I agree that cars can be excellent safe spots because they double as a spot and a get-away device! :D

My bedroom around my desk area with the door closed. I could be doing with a chair upgrade for my safe spot!

When I was really young, my bedroom was. Nowdays, either the computer room or the wilderness. I have always been comfortable in the woods. Less people to bother/judge you!

Sincerely,
Matthew

My bedroom, I would have to say. it has everything I need in there that keeps me functioning (besides the basic needs of food and bathroom utilities). I spend most of my time in there working on projects of playing computer games, doing jigsaw puzzles, knitting, so on, so forth.

If my room is a mess, it does not feel right and it starts to lose that "comfort" value that makes me like it so much. Luckily I love to organize and clean, though, heheh.

Yeah its my entire apartment. I like apartments, only first floor, but one way up and one way down, nobody running past windows.

So home is definitely my safe spot / zone.

I used to have a favored limb of a tree out in the park near my house where I felt particularly safe. Now I just about settle for anywhere outside, especially if it's quiet.... okay... yeah, I definitely think I'm going outside now.

My safe spot is my bathroom.

I can be in my bathroom for hours and hours.

Seriously, my safe spot is my computer desk in my bedroom.

I have a small room within my study that serves this purpose.

I live on a commune so personal space is treasured real estate. Got a room that's essentially a corridor with a bed at the end. All I can call my own. The computer I type on this instant is semi-safe because communal living has encouraged my nocturnal tendencies. It's 3:30 am and most people are sleeping. I prefer sleeping people over awake people for the most part.
