I work most days of the week and tend to work up a sweat. About halfway through my shift, my feet will start to get sweaty. When this happens, my whole body goes into ultra-sensitive mode. Specifically my feet, which makes me walk with an odd gait. I try to hide it but sometimes it's not possible and it's pretty embarrassing. Also, every noise starts to become loud and piercing. touches make me cringe, etc. Does anyone else experience this? Have you found an effective way to combat it? Any ideas of what exactly is going on in a biological sense?

I used to put baby powder inside of my socks and it was slightly effective.

Yes - my hands as well. When I enter the odd gait territory I struggle not to get overly insecure. I have not found a solution other than to get a very airy type of shoe and easy to slip off in secret moments... which is not always possible...

Sorry I do not have any better advice for you.

No, that's great. I lol'd at "odd gait territory". I'm really glad you mentioned the shoe type, it made me realize that when I wear my cushion-y running shoes I have less of a tendency to enter "odd gait territory". Unfortunately I have to wear non-slip shoes at work, and I haven't found a decent pair yet.

I have a pair of Soft Walks - got them on sale at the mall.. .still pricey as I tend to be a bargain shopper.. but I have had them for years now and I feel they have not broken down at all. So in the end broken down by yearly cost - not so bad!

You can read customer reviews on each shoe and people tend to say what they are best for - even if breathable or not. My pair tend to get a bit hot without socks but are great with socks.

They are curable, non slip, and a lot of organic materials are used... another plus :)

I am glad you lol'd :)

er.. just dawned on me you are a man :) ... not sure if they have a men's shoe! Sorry... will look into a good male shoe.. be back! :)

Thanks for taking the time to hunt for the MEN's shoes. I think I'd look pretty ridiculous walking around in women's shoes. Anyway, thank you.
